Free WordPress Plugins – Edition No#1

Today i will be posting about some nice wordpress plugins, which are both free and useful.

WP-DownloadManager

Adds a simple download manager to your WordPress blog. You can use this plugin to offer downloads on your blog – which can be anything from Wallpapers to Softwares.

WP-EMail

Allows people to recommend/send your WordPress blog posts/pages to a friend. This handy little script will allow you to offer your visitors to email there friends and colleagues about your blog – which is one way to grow your blog.

WP-PluginsUsed

This handy plugin does what it says, it will generate a page filled with the plugins you have installed on your wordpress blog – This is useful if you have a lot of plugins installed and want to let your visitors know the ones you are using.

WP-Poll

Adds an AJAX poll system to your WordPress blog. You can easily include a poll into your WordPress blog post/page. WP-Polls is extremely customizable via templates and CSS styles and there are tons of options for you to choose to ensure that WP-Polls runs the way you wanted. It now supports multiple selection of answers.

WP-PostRatings

Adds an AJAX rating system for your WordPress blog posts/pages. This plugin may come in handy if you like to add a rating system for your post – so that you can offer your blog visitors to rate your every posts and pages.

WP-PostViews

Enables you to display how many times a post/page had been viewed.

  1. Thanks for the info, I’m just starting a wordpress blog (tomorrow is actually it’s first day live) and this should come in handy.

  2. This is a great list. I’ve seen the post ratings plugin on a few sites and enjoyed it as a reader. What’s cool is that you can choose a few different types of ratings, like stars or bars. I find the star ratings hard to pass up when I’m reading a post.

    I may have to install this plugin on my site and give it a shot.
