Some of you might be wondering, so what is a DNS Server and what can it do for me?

The Answer:

DNS stands for Domain Name System. You can often notice that using a third-party DNS Server will help improve your browsing experience. DNS helps you increase your browsing speed (and not your downloading speed), the time it takes to load a web-page are often improved using third-party DNS services such as Google & OpenDNS, but that isn’t always the case as sometimes your ISP may provide better DNS than these third-party ones.

The simplest task of a DNS is to translate host names such as (google.com) to a ip address like (221.120.207.29). But most of the third party DNS Servers provide more functionality and are much more secure and up to date than your ISP’s too, they are dedicated and well designed for DNS. Which can offer just more than the basic DNS functionality. Many use third-party DNS Services to bypass ISP’s Censorship.

For example: When your ISP blocked your favorite website (Facebook/Twitter) you can use a third-party dns to bypass that block.

When your ISP decides to block a certain website, it might prefer to block DNS requests for the site, rather than blocking the entire IP address. In such circumstances, using alternate, uncensored or “open” DNS servers can turn out to be an easy way to bypass that limitation.

I was trying to find the Plan Prices, but couldn’t find them – i guess they haven’t put those up online yet.

The monthly bandwidth limit is low too, but will be better to decide once we know what the price is – also, all they have said on the page is that its Edge service but there’s actually no specific internet speed provided.

One of my friend is planning on trying this out, i will know more about how good or bad they are providing the service is (but personally, i dont have much hopes).
